Most Web information is currently
text-based. Reading, therefore is the primary skill that one can improve on
the Web. When selecting reading materials, use the following strategies:

select one level
above what you can easily understand.

listen while
reading (there is evidence to support the theory that listening to
recordings while reading improves listening and speaking skills
especially for auditory learners)

test your
comprehension (ask yourself questions after you finish reading or take a
quiz)

print online
materials (some learners have a hard time reading computer screens -- it
has to do with the ocular neuroreceptor's reaction to backlit screens).
